The Power Of Positive Thinking
Let me start by saying this...the world you live in is yours...so enjoy it!Lately a lot has been said as to whether the way we think and if it could actually have an effect on how we feel, physically. After years of intense research and study the results are, inconclusive. Still no one really knows. So let's take a closer look.
Positive thought it is known has somewhat of a positive residual effect. We all know the saying “Do good things and good things will happen”. Is it true? Is the question of the day.
More from coping standpoint it does make sense to have positive thoughts. Not saying having them alone will solve anything. I am saying being in a positive mindset when you do deal with them will allow for more positive results. Mainly because you can cope with the stress and pressure of the situation itself.
Thinking positive will in fact allow you to see life's situation from more from a “half-full” perspective. Enabling you to handle problems more effectively. Positive thinking allow you to see yourself in a more positive aspect overall.
*** A fascinating yet proven fact: When you stop being so hard on yourself everyone will also!
Understanding this is life and how you fit into it is basically the difference. A lot of times we place unrealistic expectations on ourselves and follow them with goals that are simply unattainable, hence Anxiety. Healthy thinking has a lot to do with simply calming your body down and learning how to react to the same situations only in a much more organized and effective way.
What happened? - Who knows why they are the way they are? Life itself has soo many curves to throw at us on top of the obvious. A lot of us believe it or not were raised in an Anxiety-Ridden household. A few of us had parents whose response to everything was screaming and yelling. So we grow up thinking adverse situations are cause for worry and stress justified. Well that's not true actually the opposite is.

A better way – If I could I would recommend everyone undergo Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT. An excellent form of therapy that actually is very effective in many ways. In short it's in a way like you're re-training your thought process. By focusing on Cognitive thought and behavioral actions CBT links the two and actually allows for improvements in both areas. Along with CBT enlist the power of Yoga, muscle relaxation or meditation bring the mind and body back to a more relaxed state of being. Nothing needs to change in life. You can also work with a Counselor or Therapist. Not really a requirement but we all need someone to talk to every once in a while.
Simple changes that lead to effective results. Understanding that for ever negative thought there is also a positive one. The choice is entirely up to you. Example, even though every visit to your brother -in-laws house sucks. You choose this time to focus on the good and most important enjoy yourself. Karma you'll soon find out is a funny thing to say the least, but it is consistent. You will enjoy your self.
Like everything else it will take some practice. The objective is to began to think positively on an everyday basis. To get to a point where it comes to you naturally sub-consciously.
For some reason most people think words are powerless That they can sat whatever they feel whenever they feel to whomever they feel. That is not true, words do have power and a significant amount of it.
A starting point – Start to write down the “negative” thoughts in a pad or notebook. Amazingly by bringing these thoughts into existence we become aware of them. But most important separate them from you. No need to carry them around with you everywhere as unnecessary mental weight. Write em' down keep them all in the same place. Come back and visit em' if you like. Maybe on day you'll get the courage to collect them all and burn em! Who needs a huge collection of organized alphabetized negative thoughts? So write down your bad thoughts to begin sooner or later you'll notice them decreasing. Once they stop, start to write down your positive one's!
Another great advantage of bringing your negative thoughts in existence is that you almost immediately discover the true source causing you to have Stress or Anxiety.
Anxiety - A normal human response. Even though it has gotten a bad rap lately Anxiety is actually not all that bad. Your bodies way of saying “something is not quite right”. If interpreted correctly many of use would be surprised to find out that Anxiety actually has very close ties with something we no longer rely on, instinct.
Don't feel alone - Anxiety disorders affect about 19 million adult Americans alone. Most anxiety disorders begin in childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. They occur slightly more often in women than in men, and occur with equal frequency in whites, African-Americans, and Hispanics.
Fortunately, much progress has been made in the last two decades in the treatment of people with anxiety disorders. Treatments vary as it depends on the type of disorder and several other factors as well. Fortunately one or even a combination of the following therapies have proven to be very effective in treating most if not all anxiety disorder types.
Options available today for treatment include:
* Medication
* Psychotherapy
* Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
* Life Style Changes
* Meditation/Relaxation
Since we are all different its best to try a few out and see which one(s) you respond to best. It is trial and error but the end result is well worth it. Thinking from a Positive-Position makes for a happier more fulfilling life in every way. Remember Love yourself 1st then take whats left and spread it among those that you feel deserve it!
* Remember the world you live in is yours. Who you choose to let in is your choice as well as who you keep out!
*And don't forget life is short, too short to stress so think positive, live positive, be positive it is your choice!
